What is kept in your browser
Only the account pages (create account, sign in, get started, settings, invitation and new password) keep anything, and only what they strictly need to work:
| What | Where | What for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your session | localStorage | Keeping you signed in on the account pages | Until you sign out |
| An invitation or new-password code | The tab's sessionStorage | Not losing the code if the page reloads | Until you use it or close the tab |
| The name and email you typed on an invitation | The tab's sessionStorage | Not losing them when you switch language | Until you close the tab |
This storage is strictly necessary: without it you cannot sign in to your account. It never holds your password, and no third-party service reads it.
Third-party services on the website
The fonts are served by the website itself, so opening a page sends no request to Google or anyone else. The website has no analytics tools, advertising pixels, embedded videos or social media buttons.
The account pages talk to Karsi's server (Supabase). When it is on, Cloudflare's Turnstile runs only on the create-account page, in Cloudflare's own frame, to check that whoever creates the account is a person; what Cloudflare does in that frame is governed by its own privacy policy.
In the Karsi apps
- Mac app: the session is kept in the macOS Keychain, and display preferences in the app's own storage. The company's data is read from Karsi's server each time. The session goes when you sign out.
- iPhone app: the session is kept in the iPhone's secure storage. If you allow notifications, the device's push identifier is kept by Karsi to notify you; it goes when you sign out.
- Shopify app: it runs inside the Shopify admin, which manages the session. When you connect an ad account (Google, Meta or TikTok), the app keeps a technical cookie for 10 minutes that protects that sign-in; there are no analytics or advertising cookies.
How to clear it
